I am converting from Christianity to Agnosticism?

I was raised in a Liberal Protestant home. I am converting to Agnosticism because the bible makes God seem like a sick monster. There are so many evil things happening for there to be an omnipotent God. There also are many (not all) hypocritical Christian liars who hate and are bigots. Am I right to start feeling this way?
