Will the fanfare of Jordan ever top that of Jackson?

I am sort of wondering if Michael Jordan will ever receive the kind of fanfare if he died that Michael Jackson is getting now, especially since he has his own statue next to the United Center which I guess could in some ways be equated to Jackson's Walk of Fame star. I wonder if Michael Jackson will get a similar landmark in Gary, Indiana. I noticed Jackson and Reggie Miller traded places - Jackson made his music landmark in Los Angeles after leaving Gary and Reggie Miller got his Indiana Pacers jersey retired after leaving UCLA.
